last one for the year! thanks to my family and friends for your words of encouragement and fantastic support. thanks to everybody who stopped by and had a look see over the last six weeks, its been great meeting the people in the neighbourhood. i hope to start up again at the end of january so i look forward to seeing you in the new year!
embroidery hoops
this is my fabric version of a christmas wreath. found a great embroidery book of new zealand flowers in an op-shop and tried my hand at a rata flower (top) and nz fushia (bottom).

these adorable 'cuddly mama' dolls, made by clever christchurch crafter mel opie, arrived at the garage this week. each doll is unique, handmade and best of all has a secret treasure pocket in the front.

this week i discovered the joys of origami book decorations, jig map puzzles and came up with a crafty way of re-telling golden book stories in the form of paper bunting....i feel a paper sewing fetish is upon me...
