spring flowers
am slowly filling our house with sweet smelling spring flowers from the garden. am loving the luscious greens and crisp whites with just a hint of yellow and blue.

made some more bunting for the felt shop this week and finished renovating the ottoman i found. also discovered a new polish jeweller who makes the most gorgeous rings.
and the magnolia keeps blooming in the garden....
find of the week...
picked this ring up for a steal this week. it is made by the very talented polish jeweller Krzysztof Roszkiewicz. check out his other work on pinterest http://pinterest.com/pin/259097784783180175/ and http://pinterest.com/pin/137570963588374820/.
gorgeous!
strawberry fields
this is one of the furniture pieces i picked up a few weeks ago and ripped the fabric off to reveal the lovely wood underneath. couldn't resist this strawberry fabric for the new cover. it is now a perfect place to sit and put shoes on in our hallway with the added bonus of hideaway storage underneath. clever.

magnolia bud! i was very excited to discover the first glimspse of fuschia popping out in the garden today. i can understand why the japanese follow the cherry blossom coming out in springtime, from the southern islands to the north. if i could, i would love to see the wave of magnolia buds coming out in new zealand from north to south.
have had a lovely week finding bits and bobs for the garage. including some furniture which i am pulling apart to put back to together again...maybe by next week i will have something to show for it.
sculptured ceramics
i am a sucker for ceramics and fell in love with these sculptured bowls. the curled dip fits your thumb beautifully.

winter has got the best of me and the garage has been closed as the family has gone through its share of colds. however i found these drawings irresistible and have made a batch of sewn little fox cards.
some great craft happening out and about in nelson this week, with some snaps down below of the yarn bomber's work and if the weather holds tomorrow's 'frocks on bikes great op-shop challenge' frocksonbikesnelson@gmail.com
yarn bombing
over the last few months, yarn bombing has been appearing in unlikely places around the nelson. have been enjoying these ones by the library. go craft graffiti.
